Tommy Roberts will lead teams focusing on safety, regulatory standards
Hoosier Energy has named Tommy Roberts as Engineering Services Manager. A Hoosier Energy veteran, Roberts now leads Hoosier Energyâs corporate engineering teams who focus on Power Systems Design, Reliability and Asset Management and System Planning. These teams assure Hoosier Energyâs generation and transmission systems, along with Member Distribution systems (as requested) are designed, and maintained to meet safety, reliability, and regulatory industry standards.
âTommy brings a proven record of leading strategic initiatives across Hoosier Energy,â said Will Kaufman, Hoosier Energy Vice President of Technical Services. âUnder his leadership, the Engineering Services team will concentrate on implementation of the strategic asset management program and addressing aging infrastructure to enhance system reliability and integrate distributed resources.â
Roberts previously served as Manager Reliability and Asset Management, leading engineering teams at Hoosier Energyâs Merom Plant and the Power Delivery Operations Center in Owen County.
The Engineering Services team will continue collaborating with Member Systems, the Project Management Office, Operations, and other key stakeholders in the development, prioritization and execution of routine operation and maintenance. Their responsibilities also include Capital workplans, rural utilities service workplans and economic development.
The team will continue its focus on grid resiliency, grid hardening and system reliability while ensuring Hoosier Energy is prepared to adapt to future requirements, including proliferation of distributed energy resources.
